#two hour film of heartrending pain and tears #did i cry? #no #not at all #i created a fucking river with my eyes #i have a mom complex so this was like a knife to the heart #after this film i both hate humanity for its selfishness and complacency #and thank humanity for its endurance #the four kids who were abandoned and struggling to survive #nobody knows
#oh there goes my soft spot for fantastically animated music scenes #i wasn't much impressed by the song - but #this scene was so meaningful #how he just gave up his anger at the fact that a robot had so easily surpassed him at piano #and his fear that sammy would surpass him too - just by watching #no #he just gave up all his prejudice and realized that his want for superiority was unfounded #he let loose his cares and played #he realized that there were more important things than societal barriers between androids and humans #that there were more important things than distinguishing between the superior and the inferior #he just wanted to be happy #and to make those around him - android or human - happy #this was a great show #i loved the fifteen minute episodes??? it was well paced #and it's been one of the few shows i've watched this year that didn't have an ending that made me cry #it just had a happy ending #where is a sequel i demand one #time of eve #eve no jikan #and yes this isn't sakamichi no apollon
